For the love of Tron

I remember watching Tron from the back of my parent’s station wagon at the drive in as a kid. This is the product of late night editing for fun. Music from the new Tron mixed to the original. Enjoy.

Here is a music promo for the band Father Hen that I recently directed through the production company Curb Denizen.

Glen Echo

Here is the first still from my short film ‘Glen Echo’.

Glen Echo is about a boy who catches men from the local pond and convinces his mother to keep them.

The film was a co-production between 4am films and Curb Denizen. Today I’m handing over the material to my editor and hopefully in two weeks we can go into color correction.

I really, really enjoyed shooting this film as since the beginning everyone was excited about the ideas surrounding Glen Echo. We were also very lucky to have some great performances from Sarah Woodruff, Tom Slatter, Daniel Price and Tilly McRedmond.

Glen Echo

Hey Everyone, I’ve begun a small campaign to start raising funds for my short film Glen Echo. If some people remember, I tried to make this film about 5 years ago and wasn’t really happy with the outcome. So, I’m going to give it another go. Please check out the fundraising site Kickstarter.

Hope all is well,

BAFTA.

Hey everyone, recently I worked as an editor/logger for Lime Pictures on ITVs “The Only Way is Essex”. The team at Lime Pictures is amazing. These people would work non-stop to get the show out on time as we had a 4 day turnaround from capture to broadcast. Along the way, I made a few friends, learned a few terms like “at the end of the day” and “reem”. But to top it all off, the show ended up winning a BAFTA.

Back from the dead.

Sorry about the delay guys, I know it’s been awhile. To get everyone up to speed I’ve been busy on a few different things. First was directing a music video through Curb Denizen for Father Hen, Codeine and Wine. Shooting was a great experience as I got to work with Ben Barber and J.A. Cerrillo again. One idea I had for this project was to try to make the viewers only have a connection with the main character. To do this, I covered all the extra character’s eyes one way or another(surprise?). You guys can decide if that idea works or not once I get the OK to post the video.

Secondly, I just finished working on ITV2′s “The Only Way is Essex“. I was onboard as a pre-production editor and set logger. The shoot was roughly under two months and Essex life completely took over my life during that time. The show gave me an opportunity to meet and work with some of the sweetest, kindest people and hopefully I’ll be able to see the whole gang again for series 3.

Thirdly and probably the most exciting part is I’m working on another Midnight Alps short which I hope to shoot next month(which will lead to other things) as well as remake(or make properly) my short film ‘glen echo’ which some people might remember.

Finally, we have begun sending out Abigail to Festivals. When I start to hear back, I’ll spread the word. I have been mailing out DVDs to everyone involved in Abigail. If you haven’t received on yet, please send me a private email with your address to cimpher at gmail dot com.
